The 107th Edition is a never-seen-before VIP gathering in West Africa as Lagos, Nigeria sets the stage for the convergence and confluence of knowledge and inspiration from women leaders and men allies worldwide, strengthening our global connections and impact within and outside the region. February 21-23 will feature 3 days of cross-cultural engagement as we learn, share, grow and connect to our purpose.
Our Plenary and Parallel sessions will create synergies in all sectors, contributing to strengthening lines of action such as making environments conducive for economic and social impact, increasing the visibility of women leaders, and enabling dialogue that will inspire innovative practices that will have a positive effect on women's income and contributions to society.

In celebration of Women's contribution to our society, WEF West Africa is set to create an enabling environment for over 250+ Speakers across 3 days. The WEF-West Africa edition will include in-person discussions and digital sessions, networking, and collaborations to promote leadership around the world, encouraging women to grow their businesses, build successful careers and amplify their influence, impact & income.
WEF-West Africa will also celebrate 100 Women on Wednesday, 21 February 2024 with a Medal of honour at the WICCI Entrepreneurs Gala in collaboration with WICCI Nigeria-India Business Council and the G100.

H.E Chief (Dr) Jewel Howard Taylor
Vice President, the Republic of Liberia
H.E Chief (Dr) Jewel Howard-Taylor is the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia and President of the Liberian Senate serving on several strategic committees. She is Liberia’s foremost advocate for increased and improved opportunities for women - a visible and very involved stateswoman; with a vision for affordable but quality education; a transparent justice system; an improved and accessible health system; women’s economic and political participation; and an accountable public service system – a critical voice on cross-cutting issues at many frontlines in the battle to reposition Liberia for vibrancy, productivity and democratic good governance. Chief Dr. Taylor currently serves in many capacities. As a result of her National impact, she is the recipient of many accolades, laurels and awards from Local, National and International Organizations, ranging from humanitarian awards to outstanding Leadership awards. She was often referred to as the “People’s Senator” and in confirmation of this title, Newsweek Magazine voted her the 2nd Most Powerful Female Politician in Liberia in 2011.
H.E. Dr. Rosalia Arteaga Serrano
Former President, the Republic of Ecuador
H.E Dr. Rosalía Arteaga Serrano is the Former President of Ecuador and the first woman to have held the positions of President and Vice President of the Republic of Ecuador. She is one of 10 democratically elected Presidents in Latin America and the youngest to take office. She was also undersecretary of Culture and Minister of Education Between 2004 and 2007, Rosalía was Secretary-General of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Organization (OTCA), an intergovernmental organization based in Brazil that seeks to preserve and develop the Amazon. Arteaga played a substantial role in the actions carried out to preserve the region; she recommended policies that were worked with governments at all levels and obtained important resources for the region. Her current work focuses on Human Rights education, women’s rights, sustainability, globalization, equality, access to information, and good governance. As a lawyer, a Juris Doctor, a graduate of journalism and postgraduate of anthropology, she is currently the Executive President of FIDAL Foundation, a member of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Library of Alexandria in Egypt, an honorary member of the Royal Academy of Doctors of Europe. She has published 14 books and has influential opinion spaces in audiovisual media.
Stella Damasus
Nollywood Actress & CEO, ADIVA Network
Stella Damasus is a critically acclaimed Nigerian-born Actor, Singer, Podcaster, Speaker, Acting Coach, Publisher and Film Producer with over 20 years as an entertainer and over 100 films as an actor. She has won numerous awards globally like the Award for Best Actress at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards (2007) and Best Actress at the Golden Icons Academy Awards in Houston, Texas (2012), Best Actress at the African Film Festival (AFF) for the movie, Between (2016) amongst others. Stella has been a strong voice for the education of women, and consistently fights against underage marriages and injustice against women and young girls. She is the founder and CEO of ADIVA Networks, a media and consulting company; Stella Damasus Arts (SDA) Foundation, a non-profit organization established to provide economic, intellectual and emotional support to society, using the Arts as its primary tool. The Foundation launched its Free Arts Training Program and opened its doors to its first set of students on the 16th of May 2011. An Actor's Playhouse, and is the Publisher/Editor-In-Chief of ADIVA Magazine. She is also a certified relationship coach and a mother and hosts the Ask Stella Series.
Dr. Nicoleta Acatrinei
CEO & Founder, Impact Investing Metrics
Dr. Nicoleta Acatrinei is an economist and started her career in banking. The reality of the business world forced her to inquire about the relevance of the assumption of the egoistic nature of homo oeconomicus. She received her Ph.D. in 2014 from the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP), Switzerland. By combining behavioral economics with work motivation, she shows that intrinsic and extrinsic motivations may coexist simultaneously and that both types of motivation may foster pro-social and altruist behavior at work, and in society at large. Thanks to her multi-disciplinary background she has developed an interdisciplinary research and business activity where she is building impact metrics and evaluation tools for sustainable finance, impact investing and faith-based investment, guidelines for the future of work at the intersection of faith, well-being and digital transformation, for public policies promoting sustainable development, SDGs, and social economic activities. She has authored books, book chapters and journal articles. She is the CEO & Founder of Impact Investing Metrics and G100 Global Chair for Sustainable Banking & Finance.

H.E Violeta Bulc is the Former Deputy Prime Minister of Slovenia and EU Commissioner for Transport. Dr Chantal Yelu Mulop is the Special Advisor to the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo on Youth, Gender & Violence against Women. She is a leading activist, a recognized humanist and feminist, a fighter for social justice, economic and women’s rights, without forgetting of course a passion for the fight against all forms of injustice such as immigration reform, health care reform, reproductive rights, the natural environment, racial equality and workers’ rights. Having spent more time outside the country, in DR Congo (mainly in Canada and Belgium).

Dr Bodil Valero is a former Member of Swedish Parliament, and the European Parliament from 2014 until 2019. She is a member of the Green Party, part of the European Green Party. At the EU Parliament, she served as the green coordinator in the Security and Defence Committee, and was also responsible for migration and foreign affairs, and later of global justice issues such as climate, peace, aid, trade, arms exports and more. She is committed to finding open, decent and humane policies as solutions to issues of economic migration, human rights and rights of minorities.

ACCA Regional Lead
Evelyn Isioye leads ACCA's regional policy and insights work across India and Africa. She has authored several region- and country-specific reports, contributing to the shaping of policy conversations, consultations, and capacity building. Notably, she authored the ACCA and Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA) joint report on the Journey to AU2063 – professional accountants empowering the AfCFTA.
